Pycap CEO Stuart Browne was a panelist for the Global Innovation Incubation and Entrepreneurship (GIIE) Summit where he discussed topics related to innovation ecosystems and best practices. Stuart discussed the roles different stakeholders play in creating a startup tech cluster including government, investors, entrepreneurs, universities and service providers. He also described how, as a Canadian, federally recognized designated organization for the startup visa program, the new Pycap Incubator will provide a superior platform for immigrant entrepreneurs to tap into the innovation ecosystem in Canada.
The goal of GIIE SUMMIT was to create a space dedicated to the leaders of collaboration from all sectors from all over the world, to share, discuss, learn and together build a more inclusive innovation-driven economy. The event was dedicated to bring new trends in the areas of innovation, incubation and entrepreneurship to the global co-creation movement and thus prepare the co-innovation sector for the new challenges that we are already facing and will continue facing in the coming years. The “new normal” that COVID-19 has brought upon us impacts the economy and disturbs our way of doing things. The objective of the GIIE Summit is for cooperatives´ managers to take stock of the economic situation and to become inspired by the best innovative practices to better serve their members in these changing times.
